Found this beautiful brass bowl gifted by my grandma to my mom. I couldn't resist from taking few pictures. I so badly want to own a house full of ethnic things .... I have been following this blog lately : http://rangdecor.blogspot.com and its acting like 'Aag mein Ghee' for me :)

memories memories... are ghosts of missed past... teaches... reveals... realizing... memories are good... a chance to make them - the sweet memories.
Yup.. I agree... sometimes when i just look into a nook or corner of my house by chance and see something-its like-"oh gosh!!tatz been thr since as far as i can remember...!!" then askin mom-kahan se aya ye..n thn thrs a lovely memory behind it... i remember we buying a partition - a lovely piece of rajasthani craftwork- on a auction some long ago...with great enthu hamne use put kiya in our living room..we were staying at an apartment back then on 4th floor in one of the high wind zone cities in the country...and zooom..the bechara partition which wud have stood like a mountain decor in some rajput palace used to fall off every 10 mins..(m damn sure unlike europeans our Indian Kings didnt live in high rise palaces)..so i with a heavy art had to dismantle that lovely thing and pack it up in a trunk(sobs)! it was 16 yrs back...some years back i dunno trunk kitni baar nikala shift kiya partition ke diffrnt pieces(it was dismantable types)..suddenly i see one of the shoes(like a horse shoe type)of partition that was then used as the support of one of partition legs while digging into old wrecks...someday i am gonna open all the trunks and boxes and all we have ..take out everything..n see the pandora box of memories once again...when I am 80 :)..coz till then...i wll be..as always...the machine...signing off as..... M
