A lazyyyyyyy sunday! It truly is ... :)

I opened this new box of Bhakarwadi today morning and I just didn't realize when I finished it! Though it would have been nice if I would have realized it before it got over. The reason being : I would have enjoyed the last piece even more :P That was the last box left :( Time to visit London soon ....

I have been sitting in the same place since morning and almost doing nothing ! It feels great :)

Btw , for the people who don't what bhakarwadi is :  Please mark it as one of things you are going to try whenever you will visit india. And if you are already in India , then thats the first thing you should try tomorrow morning! Its one of the world's best snack ever!

Tomorrow is a bank holiday , which means I have got one more day to stick to this couch and do the same thing again which is NOTHING :D Oh ! I just can't express how relaxed I feel. Sometimes in life, its sooooo very important to just stop! and sit and relax and try to do the most unproductive thing you can do :D However , I am not being so unproductive after all. You will see the result soon once I will finish this interesting project I have taken up :)

Till then answer my question : Whats the most unproductive thing you can do without being bored of it?

Dream....

That's one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind!

I woke up today morning and checked my inbox as usual and found an email from my father informing that the man who stepped on the moon for the first time in human history, Neil Armstrong, passed away at the age of 82.

What he has achieved in his lifetime is beyond what words can express but what he has taught us all is pretty simple : One must dream. Nothing is impossible in this world!

R.I.P Mr Armstrong.

Hectic Sunday

My body has literally surrendered.........
I just exhausted the last drop of energy left in my body.........
I think I am about to dream because I think I am already asleep............
I am unable to move any part of my body except my fingers. Thank god for that! Atleast I can type :)

No points for guessing! I indeed had one of the most busiest weekend after ages!

No , there was no olympics event. We had the closing ceremony on 12th you silly :P
Nah! I didn't travel to London or any other city either....That takes away your second chance.....Ok, last chance???
No, I didn't shop till I dropped sadly.

Phew!! I spent my entire weekend cleaning the house @birmingham ....And a deep breathe..yes! The house where Abhay and Chetna live. The herculean task of cleaning the mess we call home! And I did it all without any help! Mr Kini has an exam in another week or so. A perfect reason to escape this amercement. Wow! Why don't I have exams in such a perfect timing? :( And to add to my misery , the Ratatouille inside me had to rise from the darkness at this very moment! For some crazy and aberrant reason, I wanted to cook all 4 meals ........***DRUM ROLLS***.... Someone in the house was on cloud number 9, I am sure!! :)

While I don't have anything to share about the 'Cleaning Story' except the fact that I must have cursed Abhay zillion times for throwing documents all over the place, I do have some random pics that I didn't forget to take in this absolutely egregious schedule of mine :) I also made some yumm cold coffee but I was just too thirsty to wait for a picture :)

Sunday's Meal

Paratha with baingan bharta, Orange Juice and Papaya ..... Heaven ! :)

And its time for me to say goodnight with the promise that I will see you tomorrow when the sun will shine and the day will be bright :)

zzzzzzzzzzzzz.........................

Update : The first thought in my mind was to create a collage when I saw Kashvi's shoes picture today! :) Pink and Papaya :)

Living a dream...

I have just lived a dream :) I never even in my wildest, craziest imagination ever thought that I would be part of any of the Olympics events. However, this dream turned into reality on Saturday morning 9:30 when I attended the Women's volleyball match with Abhay and one of my very good friends Vibha at Earl's Court London :) Pinch me ! Oh yes ! I did :) \:D/

If you are just wondering how did I manage to grab the tickets , then the credit goes to the lazy dignitaries who chose not to see the match which was finally put on sale few days before the match! The London Olympics Ticket Booking Website seriously needs help and its users need a great deal of patience but all is well that ends well :) Its because of the resale of the olympics tickets that the 11th hour specialists i.e Abhay and I got this golden opportunity that I am never going to forget :) EVER!!

The Venue : Earl's Court

We started from our home at 7:30 in the morning and met our partner in crime Vibha at Earl's Court Station :) We could hear volunteers signalling us to take a right for the Volley Ball Match. After hardly 5 minutes walk , we were there! And this was the moment when a smile sticked to my face and never left for the whole day :P Literally :D We got through a security check process before entering inside and headed towards Hall 102. One of the volunteers asked Abhay for the tickets and congratulated us for getting such amazing seats. I, for a moment, thought that he is being sarcastic until we were escorted to our seats. This was indeed a WOW moment. We were sitting behind the panel of commentators , right infront of the camera, 2 rows away from the court. Remember? These seats were for important people :D :P Bless them for surrendering the tickets :)

View from our seat .... Yes! We were the early birds :P

The famous rings

There were bunch of cute cheer leaders that performed a show before inviting the teams.

Aren't they adorable?
The firts match was  Algeria Vs Dominican Republic !
9:30 AM and the action began.

Dominican Republic defeated Algeria in 3 straight sets 15-25, 16-25, 13-25.
I wanted it to be a bit longer but Domican Republic were just too good for Algeria team I guess! :D

We had a coffee break and some fun in the stadium and when we returned to our seats , the whole place had turned red. Why? Because the next match was China Vs South Korea. I was amazed to see the kind of support the Chinese spectators gave to their teams. Spectators support makes a lot of difference! In the next one hour or so, we saw one of the best women's volleyball game. I think they didn't bother if they will win or not , they just wanted to play their best which they did. We literally had nail biting moments which I had never expected when I had arrived at that spot in the morning.

South Korea Team

The Republic of China

China defeated South Korea with the score : 28-25, 22-25,25-19,22-25,15-10
but what an interesting match it was. I personally felt that both the teams have the capability to be in the finals. It was a unforgettable experience and will always be in my memories ....

The greedy me will still keep trying for more tickets for other events but even if I fail, I won't have any regrets! What a wonderful day !

Btw, I got to hold the London Olympics torch :D Twice !!!! :) And you thought the olympics chapter is over in my blog ;)

Enjoy the season of sports !
