As soon as u hear the song "I will be there for you" by Rembrandts...You rush towards your T.V set and enter into the world of laughter, gaffaws and cachinnation

You meet guys who instead of coming n saying "hello",greet u by saying "How u doin!!!???"....and u still smile :)

You come back from your office, tired and exhausted and Phoebe's melodious songs make u feel relieved and relaxed... ;)

N instead of the four seasons "winter","summer","autumn" and "spring"...u started waiting for the other 10 seasons

YESSSSSS!!!!

I am talking about our favourite sitcom "F.R.I.E.N.D.S".One of the longest-running and most popular American television sitcom, 'Friends' became a part of our lives. The show focused on the lives of a group of six friends: spoiled daddy's girl Rachel Green; compulsively clean chef Monica Geller; wise-cracking, perennially unlucky-in-love, underconfident office drone Chandler Bing;crazy, uneducated actor Joey Tribbiani; three time divorced paleontologist nerd Ross Geller; and flaky, positive masseuse and aspiring folk singer-songwriter Phoebe Buffay. You try to search about Rachelle Green or Joey Tribbiani and you get the history about them in wikipedia :D.The popularity of these six characters is beyond imagination.

But what made FRIENDS such a celebrated show???

When we watch any serial or soap opera in the television,we get mesmerized with the sets..the chandelier..the carpets lying perfectly on the ground and we feel "WOW".We wanted to "someday" have a house like that...To be like those characters. But as far as FRIENDS is concerned, the series was secluded to the characters apartment and the local coffee shop "CENTRAL PERK".There was nothing "wow" about it.We have been to such messy places before. We have shared coffee with friends at the local coffee shop before. It was not at all perfect. No character was perfect which made the show absolutely a PERFECT one:).

The gags were absolutely amazing.Fat monica,Ross boasting about his Ph.D,joey's pick up-line "how u doin?",Chandler's parents and his jokes and ofcourse Phoebe's music are few of them. The show is specially appreciated by youngsters. The characters were natural and it is pretty easy to relate urself to one of them. For example,it often happens that you are going to take the bite of your fav piece of cake(cheese-cake) and it falls on the ground and u feel like picking it up with a spoon...(i m sure u must be aware of which episode i am talking about ;)...but u just feel like picking it up and eating....THEY ACTUALLY DO IT....n thats what we love the most.

It also gave various fashion statements. There hairstyles and their crazy looks were randomly changing and was attractive. And to add more to it,there was constant entrance of variuos famous and our favourite actors of hollywood which made the show even more enjoyable. You die for the glimpse of the angel,EMMA.Of course, how can i forget our dear jannice and those three lovely words "O-MY-GOD".... :D.FRIENDS could surely maintain the level for entertainment and fun for 10 seasons which was surely not an easy task and was successful in winning out hearts.

But as all the good things comes to an end,so it did too!!!

P.S:-Those who are thinking how stupid this article was and how stupid and idiotic the FRIENDS series is ...Please dont do so..you never know when u fall in love with it ;).....ASK MY SIS how much i hated it at certain phase of my life ;)

cheers,

THE LAST SUPPER

nOtE-:I found this article while i was searching for a maths theorem.I just feel good luck and good things always knock your door when u r busy finding something else.I didnt want to let it go so copied it and am pasting it here.:).I enjoyed reading it n i hope u will enjoy it too!!!!

When Leonardo da Vinci was creating this picture, he encountered a serious problem: he had to depict Good - in the person of Jesus - and Evil - in the figure of Judas, the friend who resolves to betray him during the meal. He stopped work on the painting until he could find his ideal models.

One day, when he was listening to a choir, he saw in one of the boys the perfect image of Christ. He invited him to his studio and made sketches and studies of his face.

Three years went by. The last supper was almost complete, but Leonardo had still not found the perfect model for Judas. The cardinal responsible for the church started to put pressure on him to finish the mural.

After many days spent vainly searching, the artist came across a prematurely aged youth, in rags and lying drunk in the gutter. With some difficulty, he persuaded his assistants to bring the fellow directly to the church, since there was no time left to make preliminary sketches.
The beggar was taken there, not quite understanding what was going on. He was propped up by Leonardo’s assistants, while Leonardo copied the lines of impiety, sin and egotism so clearly etched on his features.

When he had finished, the beggar, who had sobered up slightly, opened his eyes and saw the picture before him. With a mixture of horror and sadness he said :

“I’ve seen that picture before!”

“When?” asked an astonished Leonardo.

“Three years ago, before I lost everything I had, at a time when I used to sing in a choir and my life was full of dreams. The artist asked me to pose as the model for the face of Jesus”

Good and Evil have the same face; it all depends on when they cross the path of each individual human being.

FAILURE !!!

Failure.....

Oh, the very word strikes fear into our hearts. The very thought sets us a trembling! Failure! The thing we are all taught to avoid at all costs. The nemesis of life – to fail!A single word that puts a question to your worth, your capability and your future.

Yet, really, I realize an earnest need of failures in one's life!A key to success...

It is well said that "
Fear of failure must never be a reason not to try something.

We have to simply learn from the failures and have to reframe our ideas. If you see failure as signifying the end of everything, then you may as well jump off the Post Office Tower now. But if you see failure as an opportunity to learn – then you have an entirely different take on life.
"
There are no failures - just experiences and your reactions to them."So is one supposed to learn from all one’s failures? Yes! Each failure in life is meant to teach you something about life so that you can advance a little way. It may only be a step or two – but you have learned something about what failure means and that should help you towards future success.

What we need to do is to reframe our thinking constantly, so that we see failure as serving us, as part of the necessary road we have to travel towards the success we desire.

You all know the very familiar story about Thomas Edison, the great inventor. After failing in his experiments to make a successful light bulb twenty thousand times, a reporter asked him whether he was going to continue with his experiments. He replied that of course he was going on, and that he did not regard his twenty thousand experiments as failures, but rather saw them as having established twenty thousand different ways of how not to make a successful light bulb. In other words he saw each failure as a doorway to future success.
That is a terrific attitude!!!and only this attitude can make u shine and glow.:-)

Looking back I can see times and areas of my life where I had arrived in a cul-de-sac. I did not realise it at the time, but I was in a dead end. I would never have achieved my aims if I had continued down that road. But I continued down that road! Eventually I realised that it was a cul-de-sac and that failure stared me in the face. I turned round and went back and tried another road. That it is the key – let each failure teach you how to go forward in a different direction.

But of course we don’t act like that usually, do we? Instead we moan and bewail our mistakes, or we shut up in the hope that nobody else knows about them. What shame our failures make us feel! But how lacking in understanding we are to treat our failures as shameful. They are not shameful. The only shame is when we let failure stop us in our tracks and give up trying.

We all face failure – in large or small measure most days. Sometimes it seems as if life itself has almost collapsed. Sometimes we know that it has just collapsed! And we blame ourselves – rightly as it often turns out, because a lot of it is down to our self will, our selfishness and our ignorance.

It may seem facile to talk, at such a time, about failure being a signpost for future success. But, actually, it is true. Sooner or later you are going to have to pick yourself up, dust yourself down and get started again. At that point you have to remember how and why you made such a mess of things last time. That is the only sensible course as it enables one, hopefully, to avoid making the same mistakes all over again.

"
Failure is not falling down but refusing to get up".
Remember, you cannot fail until you stop trying.

So get up and try..........try till you..??.......die??No my dear friend!!
Get up and try,try till you fly

CONTENTMENT ...............?

Sitting in my room, listening to the song "How deep is your love" by BEEGEES with heavenly breeze entering inside from the balcony and twinkling stars visible from the window ...no other moment can be better than this one to express my views in my blog.

I think the topic must be giving you a feeling that i am going to write just another article on the importance of contentment in life.If yes, then may be u missed out the big "Question mark"....and the big question itself behind it!!

"We may pass violets looking for roses. We may pass contentment looking for victory.

"Contentment is natural wealth, luxury is artificial poverty"

"True contentment depends not upon what we have; a tub was large enough for Diogenes, but a world was too little for Alexander".

You all must have read the above lines or other quotes depicting the importance of contentment for a happy life. Now my question to you all of you is :

Is contentment always good for us?

Does God always want us to accept unpleasant situations in our life unreflectively, or does he want us to work at changing some of them?

And are we ever likely to take steps to grow or to improve our life, unless we’re dissatisfied with some aspect of it? Doesn’t God use discontentment in positive ways to motivate us?

According to me,satisfaction restricts your growth.Authors and writers often describe complacency as the need for a happy life as one stops to desire n become satidifies with what one already has!!!.But, i feel,it is just a wrong way of analyzing.Contentment doesn't kill the desire.

Contentment to me is a thrust that helps me move on towards my goal. Its a feeling of loving what u have and asking for more at the same time. Now this simply doen't mean being 'GREEDY'.There is huge difference between ASPIRATION and GREEDINESS.And the term "Contentment" deals with this difference.Discontentment sometimes plays a redemptive role in the one's life. For instance,if I seek a new jobm it’s likely that because I’m attracted to a new work opportunity, and wanting to escape certain factors in my current job. Without this latter negative drive, I’m unlikely to find enough steam to embrace the positive goal of finding new employment. This negative motivation can also be called "Inspirational Dissatisfaction".Discontentment is a vital life-force, giving us both the insight and the impetus for needed change. And if we can learn to expect life to be offering us inspirational dissatisfaction, we’ll be more alert to the indispensable guidance our negative feelings may be providing us.

It is not important to be content with every circumstance in our life but in every circumstance. To be happy, one need to have the driving force and motivation for achievement of his/her goal, keeping oneself protected from the worldly frustration. Thus, the secret for a happy life is to learn the art to commix the contentment and discontement in a perfect ratio.

By the way, R U HAPPY??... he he he

Stay cool...stay contented

THE DA VINCI CODE

The words "breakout thriller" surely applies to Dan Brown's book,"The Da Vinci Code" .The Da Vinci Code has all the right ingredients to create a massive market share of the fiction sold. I didn't have much of knowledge regarding Christianity or their customs and rituals.I had always heard of Da Vinci's famous painting "THE MONALISA" and I often used to make statements like "how stupid the painting really is!!" or "I dont see anything special about her smile" always followed by the statement "Me too.." from the person sitting next to me.:-)Until now...

Reading the book was like a thrilling odyssey to the world of mysteries and conspiracies. The characters are believable, the fictional premise intriguing, and it has two major components to insure sales -- the Knights Templar and the search for the Holy Grail.Dan Brown's work is a beautiful blend of thrill, twists, facts, knowledge and mysteries. It forced me to be a part of the story...to try and guess the cryptex key or to help them find the missing orb in Newton's tomb. And honestly, i actively participated. This also became possible because this story is ofcourse related to the era of Christ but it also involves the cryptology and other modern terms which we all are well aware of.It was an amazing fusion of era of Christianity's evolution and the modern period.Dan Brown’s The Da Vinci Code is fantastic as a flash-in-the-pan pulp thriller.

As said by Dan Brown, faith is a strong belief in a supernatural power and it is this blind belief that helps our brain process the unbelievable facts related to our religions and deities. We never question "why?" or "how?" when it comes to Gods and Goddesses because we feel that it is supernatural and the word 'logic' doesnt apply there at all.But the facts and the impeccable description of them given by Robert Langdon to Sophie Neveu compels u to even question a "why?" and "how?" to all the faiths that had been embedded inside ur mind since your childhood. The description of the Monalisa's smile telling the truth against the founders of the church or The Last Supper's fact of including a women and the formation of the V symbol symbolizing the scared womb leaves a doubt in the minds of the readers for sure.

After reading the book,I also went through the various reviews by critics and historians but their criticism was more faith-based than fact-based.None of them could answer "Who mary magdalene was?" and "Why her portrait is present in the painting of The Last Supper?".If Marraige was not meant for Jesus Christ and his followers, what the lady was doing there??

The Last Supper was the last meal Jesus shared with his apostles before his death.
The painting depicts the very moment that Jesus has said to his disciples:

Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?

And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

Also, they couldn't deny the fact about the existence of The priory of Sion.Their criticism revolved around minute mistakes which somehow looses its importance when such a huge fact has been revealed.

Thus,The Da Vinci Code leaves everything to ur imagination.Either u can continue with the faith and beliefs attached with us since time immemorial or think about the reason behind the absence of Ying-Yang theory in Bible. It lets you stand in front of the sea of doubts and quest for truth and asks you to jump and explore!!!
